With the Summer Timetable now in full flow, Thursday 23rd July marks the introduction of a brand new session at the club; the Cardiff City Club Night. Throughout the school summer holidays, club members of all ages and abilities will be invited to the club on Thursday evenings between six and nine to meet and compete with a huge range of players in a highly social, casual setting.
For the past three years Cardiff City has provided opportunities in table tennis for players aged from four to over eighty. With the introduction of Club Night the club is hoping to integrate its rich and varied membership, offering ambitious juniors the chance to play seasoned players from the Over 50s group, or gifted casual players the chance to test their strength against more serious competitors. The session certainly promises some intriguing match-ups!
There’s no pressure to compete, however, and Club Night does not require any minimum standard of ability. As often at the club, the emphasis will be on fun, and on introducing the City’s table tennis fans to other players who share their passion.
The one restriction on this session is that Club Night is Members Only. Members of Cardiff City are those who have paid their annual membership fee in order to enjoy discounted entry to all our other coached and non-coached sessions. To find out about becoming a member, click here.
The session charge for members wishing to attend Club Night is £3 for adults and £2 for juniors. As ever, bat and ball hire is free.
See you Thursday!
