Cardiff City CTTC is such a welcoming and friendly club. All the coaches are enthusiastic and fun and the whole atmosphere of the club is so warm, it's a great place to be. The expert coaching at the club helped me to develop my skills and gain confidence which took me from a complete beginner at the age of 11 to becoming Junior Welsh National Champion and travelling the world representing Wales. I've also really enjoyed playing for the club in the Welsh and British Leagues, we always have a great team spirit at these events. I'm so glad I found this club!

Louis Price has been a member of the Club since 2014. He has represented the Club in Senior British League, Junior British League and Team Championships of Wales. Talking about his experience playing and being coached in the Club, Louis says "Nathan (Head Coach at the Club) is very experienced and has played at a high level so he understands what it takes to compete with the best players. Nathan has been coaching me on and off for six years and it's, without doubt, one of the reasons, along with my coach in Bristol, that I managed to get to number 1 in both Cadets and Juniors in England. He has a great blend of technical knowledge with a huge ethos of hard work - the sessions are killers but hugely enjoyable! I'm off to Germany full time but will definitely continue sessions at Cardiff City when I'm back."

It was only supposed to be a quick recce, but our short visit to the Cardiff City Table Tennis Club epitomised everything that Go Get Involved is all about.
The only place in Wales which is solely dedicated to the sport, Cardiff City Table Tennis really is like no other. Open every day of the week (most days from 10am-10pm) the club offers both coaching sessions and pay as you play sessions. It only opened in June this year and is backed by Sport Wales, so expect top of the range table tennis equipment.
Nathan Thomas (the club's head coach) explained that the aims of the club were to give EVERYONE and ANYONE the opportunity to have a go at table tennis. By charging a reasonable membership with plenty of benefits and providing quality coaching and friendly staff, people will keep coming back. And they do.
We took some photos and had a chat with a few members including a 71 year-old who was enjoying a rally at the top table. Shirt highly tucked into his tracksuit, he was not only the epitome of 'class' but he also demonstrated everything so fascinating about the Table Tennis Club.
We will be visiting again soon.

Cardiff City Community Table Tennis Club has done wonders for me since I started attending there back in 2012. The club never sees my disability, just my ability. They've always pushed me forward to help my game. I can say with confidence, without their input in my training schedule I would not have won that gold medal in Rio. The facilities are excellent for myself as a weelchair user, a big disabled toilet, level access, wheelchair accessible tables and a cafe/rest area, what more could you ask for?!

Lately he has been attending the Elite training sessions on a Monday evening. I have found that the club is friendly, welcoming with great facilities and pushes my son achieve!! The club and their coaches understand how to get the best out of their young charges. My son always looks forward to his competitions in Cardiff and his training sesisons. What more can you ask for!

Cardiff City Community Table Tennis Club is not just a great place to play table tennis but also a great place to relax with friends. Having a dedicated club means that I can play at a time that suits me and not only have I learnt a lot from the coaches but I've also had the chance to play in different competitions and against different people. The atmosphere is great and I almost enjoy sitting on the sofas chatting as much as I enjoy playing the game.

Cardiff Club is a friendly place to play table tennis with experienced coaches who can help develop your game. The club is well run with lots of different options to play and train such as "pay as you play", juniors, seniors, over 50s etc. Cardiff League central venue division plays here on a Thursday night and regular tournaments are run at the weekends so there is plenty of choice, whatever your standard - just come along and play!

I've been coming here since the club first opened and I've watched it grow from a little six table room into the elite club it is now. I've watched the talent grow within the club from the young to old. Anyone who is anyone within Welsh has been here and will continue to do so for many years to come. The management team and coaches all have the same goal - to keep the sport alive and progressing.
With the addition of the British league and cardiff league, top class table tennis is here for people to enjoy .
Nathan Thomas has achieved a club for everybody of any standard to come play learn and smile 🏓🏓😀
